Book Box Club: Purely Books Subscription

How are we all?

Today I’m here to talk about EXCITING book post. We all love book post, don’t we? What if you could treat yourself to book post every month? WELL YOU CAN with Book Box Club!

What is Book Box Club?

Book Box Club is a subscription box and secret society for the bookish folk. Book Box Club have two different subscription options:

Book Box Club Subscription – each month, you will receive a gift-wrapped, brand new, YA book, an invitation to their online book club and a selection of themed goodies to match the book you’ve been sent.

Purely Books Subscription – each month, you’ll receive a featured read and an invitation to their online book group.

All postage to the UK is free, but Book Box Club do send parcels all around the world (postage costs apply).

Purely Books Subscription

The Purely Books Subscription is perfect for the bookish reader like me: I love books, but I don’t collect a lot of bookish goodies. If you’re a bit like me, then the Purely Book subscription is perfect for you! Regardless of the subscription you choose, you get the same book, so when it comes to the online chat, everyone can share in the bookish chat!

If you’d like to sign up for a subscription, you can get to Book Box Club’s website HERE and use the code BLOGARMY5 to get a discount on your first Purely Books or Book Box Club subscription. (5% off a three month Purely Books Subscription or month-to-month Book Box Club Subscription).

My Experience

Bold and Brave was the theme for April: I received an email on to say my book was on its way and it arrived 2 days later! What’s that for service! Since it was only a book, it fit through the letterbox (so no hassling your neighbours, no waiting for it and no having to collect it from the post office: perfection!).

My book was wrapped in silver paper and tied with very cute blue and white string. It also came with an envelope with my name on – now that is the kind of personal touch I love! Inside the envelope was an invite to the Clubhouse (which is the book club) on with the details of Bold & Brave book group. In the book group, you get the chance to talk to the author, ask any questions you have and make new friends. New BOOKISH friends… the best kind of friends in my humble opinion!

The book

I was chuffed when I realised what the book was! I have heard so much about this book. I haven’t read anything by Zoe Marriott and this makes me so happy. I know there’s been a lot of controversy around this book, but it’s one of those that I’d like to read. That cover is GORGEOUS too… I mean who wouldn’t want to pick this up? It has REAL shelf appeal!

You can’t beat a good signed book plate too! *swoon* and look at that print (this is in fact the back of the information about the Clubhouse, dual purpose win!)

I love the idea of a Purely Book subscription. For a reader like me who just wants the books and not the extras that go with it, it’s PROPER perfect. I loved the personalised invite and the themed invite too! I am extremely happy with my experience so far! Keep your eyes peeled for my thoughts on the book club!

Thank you so much to Libby and Kate for inviting me to be in the Blogger Army! Don’t forget you my discount code!

Wildest Dreams Book Box – March!

The other day, a box arrived at my house. It was a cardboard box… with THIS amazing logo on it…

I knew what this meant… WILDEST DREAMS BOOK BOX OPEN TIME.

What an exciting life.

If you are unfamiliar with Wildest Dreams (have you been living under a rock?!)… Wildest Dreams is a monthly subscription service started by my wonderful friend Zoe (of NoSaferPlace fame), which delivers a newly released book and other book related products, straight to your door. As well as the newly released book, the boxes come with a tea personalised to the book of the month (perfect for the tea lovers among us!) and a bookish bath/body product. There will be a few extras supplied every month too! You can sign up monthly, or buy a 3/6/12 month subscription!

If you’d like to find out more and perhaps subscribe, check out the website here

I’ve been subscribed to Wildest Dreams Book Box for a few months and it’s always a pleasure opening the box to see what goodies lie in waiting for me!

This month’s box had the theme of Family Ties.
So a book to do with families?

Do you wanna see what’s in the box? If you don’t want spoilers, look away now!

The first thing I opened was the tea – inspired by the Carters (from The Hate U Give). It’s English Breakfast, which for me is an EXCELLENT thing because breakfast tea is my JAM. I am looking forward to giving this a try!

The next thing I spotted was this bottle of body wash/bubble bath. Inspired by the brilliantly ginger Weasley family. This is a brilliant full sized bottle of orange zest scented bath product. I’ve not used it yet, but I’ve heard brilliant things. I’m excited to use this as orange is one of my favourite scents!

The final thing I had was some tissues, and the book… (confession time, I didn’t remember to take a picture of the book, but I did open it!) I worry for my brain if I need tissues to read this book… SEND HELP. I am looking forward to checking out this book. I’ve heard lots of great things!

And there you have it!
What a great box.

If you’re interested what was in February’s box, my wonderful friend Kelly (of Kelly’s Ramblings fame) reviewed the February box over on her blog: clicky click.

Wildest Dreams Book Box

Hello there!

Today brings something a little different to my blog! Today I am revealing to you all the amazing contents of my first ever book box subscription!

Welcome everyone to Wildest Dreams Book Box

Wildest Dreams was the brain child of my gorgeous friend Zoe (blogger and booktuber!) When I heard she was thinking of making a book box, I knew I needed to get in on it! It is only £18 per month, with discounts for 3 monthly, 6 monthly and yearly subscriptions!

I was one of the very lucky ones who got 50 trial boxes for December… and this is what was in it! I am so proud!

First off can we just appreciate how gorgeous these stickers are?! I love them!

The first two things I opened were this wonderful Sorting Bathbomb from Geeky Clean. I’m not gonna lie, I’m not a massive bath taker (I’m much more of a shower gal) but when I saw this, I was excited. I AM TERRIFIED however that it won’t be yellow… but we shall see. The second product I opened was tea inspired by After The Fire. For those of you who know Zoe, you will know that ATF is one of Zoe’s absolute favourite books for 2017, so it was no surprise to me that there was an ATF themed product in the box! If my memory serves me correctly, it’s chocolate and orange flavoured!

Having opened those lovely goodies, I was looking forward to getting to the book. I spotted this book plate and the bookmark (which is signed by the author!) in the box. Then I finally got to the book. I had my suspicions about what the book would be, but having opened the book I was totally wrong! Zoe has spoken a lot about this book over on her blog and it is one that I am yet to get my hands on, so to see it was a pleasant surprise! There’s also a brilliant note from the author about the book too

So there you have it! December’s brilliant Wildest Dreams Book Box! I am so chuffed I managed to get my hands on a box, and I definitely can’t wait for January’s box!

If you’d like to get your hands on January’s box, check out Wildest Dreams Book Box for more information! (There were still a few left at the time of writing this! They won’t be there for long!)
