Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

I’m gonna be honest – going to see this was always going to be an experience for me, regardless of what I was going to see. I knew this would make me cry. I knew that this would move me. I knew I’d love this… but my god, I had no idea just how much I would absolutely just adore it. Seeing badass women absolutely bossing life and working together made my heart so happy. I need all of the women in this film to just get all of the praise. I cried from pretty much the word go til the very end (is anyone surprised at all?). That end scene though?! What are they doing to me?! The most poignant moments were the silent ones – those were the ones I needed to properly sob, but I had to hold it in. This film is a big aye from me. It was everything I wanted and way more than I ever thought it would be. Massive props to everyone involved. I need to see this again, just so I can have another cry… but actually be able to take things in this time round, ha.
Decision to Leave

This was a film that Rachel wanted to go see. We went to see it while we were in Glasgow, and I was actually pretty open to it! I don’t watch many subtitled films! Watching it, all I could think was ‘God. They both did my head in’. Why did she continue to follow him? Why did he continue to pine after her? Move on. But I can not deny that it was a gorgeous film – the shots where he was there, but he wasn’t were so clever. Not sure I believe she’s dead either like. But whatever. A really interesting film, but very unlikeable characters.
Black Adam

After seeing the trailers for this a few times, I was really looking forward to seeing it! I hadn’t seen the other films around this one… but honestly, it didn’t matter! I absolutely bloody loved this. The Rock is such a mint person man. I loved that this was a film you could just watch by itself and you’d still GET it. I didn’t need to be part of some complex timeline and franchise to get it. The rest of the cast were mint too. I had missed seeing Sarah Shahi on my screen (I love you Carmen).
