ThursTAG: My blog name in books!

Tis that day of the week again. It’s Thursday. It’s Tag day!

Today I’m taking on the “My blog name in books” tag. I took on something like this with my name, but I figured I’d take on this one!

  • Spell out your blog’s name.
  • Find a book from your TBR that begins with each letter.

First off… people ask me “where did you get the name from?” so I thought I’d share the origins with you all!

I’m a massive massive Matilda fan, so when I went to see the musical I was blown away. We had been learning the words at school in readiness for visiting (although as my class told me I wasn’t allowed to sing along…). In the musical there’s a song called Naughty. It’s such a fun song and the lyrics are brilliant (if you’ve never listened to this soundtrack, I suggest you do!). It’s all about being brave and standing up for yourself even if you are little:

Even if you’re little, you can do a lot, you
Mustn’t let a little thing like, ‘little’ stop you
If you sit around and let them get on top,
You might as well be saying
You think that it’s okay
And that’s not right!
And if not that’s not right
You have to put it right

And it just struck a chord with me. Plus… I’m quite short!

So that’s where A Little But A Lot came from.

Here goes… (I’m including books I’m excited for AND books I have on my physical TBR for this)

A – A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

L – Love Hypothesis by Laura Steven

I – Isadora Moon Goes on Holiday by Harriet Muncaster

T – The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

T – The Shark Caller by Zillah Bethell

L – Lu by Jason Reynolds

E – Educated by Tara Westover

B – Boy Queen by George Lester

U – The Unadoptables by Hana Tooke

T – The Notorious Virtues by Alwyn Hamilton

A – Amelia Fang and the Naughty Caticorns by Laura Ellen Anderson

L – Loveless by Alice Oseman

O – Only Mostly Devastated by Sophie Gonzales

T – The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

That was MUCH harder than I thought it would be!! Especially the vowels! Took me longer than I thought it would, but it was a lot of fun! There’s a whole host of incredible books I’m excited for in the coming months.

If you fancy giving this a go, go for it!
