Film Friday #25 – The ABC challenge (part 3)

Welcome to Film Friday everyone!

This year, my fiancée and I are taking on the ABC challenge… where you watch a film for every letter of the alphabet! Just as luck has it, we’ve BOTH chosen films so we have 52 films… so one a week! I’ll give you a update on how we’re getting along (with the hopes that we get through 4 letters a month).

At the time of writing this, we’ve only got about 4 letters left! I thought I’d share the next few here (if you want read our A-C films, check out this post, or our D-F films, check out this post)

Rach’s choice: The Gift

Well Keanu’s character wasn’t a barrel of laughs was he? I remember this now that Rachel has reminded me about it… but clearly not the most memorable. I did enjoy it as I watched though… Katie Holmes was like a kid!

My choice: Ghostbusters

God, this brought me SUCH JOY. Women being bloody brilliant; Thor being goofy and silly and not really that smart; throwback to my childhood. I just adored this. Perfect Sunday night viewing!

Rach’s choice: Henry – Portrait of a Serial Killer

Bloody Henry. What a dick. And his mate was also not a barrel of laughs. I think this was totally grim. I told Rachel at one point that I didn’t think she loved me cause she was showing me this, haha.

My choice: Heathers

I’d seen this all over the gaff and was very curious about it. It wasn’t what I expected of it – much darker, but I enjoyed it nonetheless!

Rach’s choice: Imagine Me and You

This is another one I’d heard people talking about for ages and just had never got round to watching. Really enjoyed this. It’s cute and it’s lovely and yeah, you’ve gotta love a little gay film. There’s not enough gay films in my life. If you have any more you’d like to recommend to me, please do.

My choice: Inception

I love this film. I watched it when it first came out and never again after that… watching again made me realise how much I definitely hadn’t remembered. I think Leo is so good in this. It’s one of those proper thinking films that you could talk about and think about over and over and still never really grasp, ha.
