ThursTAG: 10 Books Challenge

Good morning!

I hope you are all well!

I am back with another tag… Today, I’m taking on The 10 Books Challenge!

I hope you enjoy!

A BOOK THAT MADE ME THINK:

God so many. However, the first book that jumped into my head was A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. This book absolutely broke my heart in so many ways. It made me sad. It made my heart ache. It is one of those books that everyone needs to read in their lifetime.

A BOOK THAT SURPRISED ME:

This book surprised me because it SO MUCH DARKER than Laura’s other books, but my gosh is it absolutely incredible. It’s one of those devilishly dark books that explores the depths of anger and evil. And the cover man… look at it!

A BOOK THAT MADE ME HAPPY:

I love a book that makes me happy. This by Carlie Sorosiak made my heart happier than I can ever tell you. Clementine is one of those gorgeous characters who comes along every now and again and just shows you that there’s so much light and joy in the world – it’s just our job to find it and share it!

A BOOK THAT MADE ME SAD:

Anyone who knows me knows that I CRY at books all the time… but its not always from sadness. I can’t recommend A Monster Calls again… although that DID make me abundantly sad. So instead, I’ll go with this. This isn’t an easy read; it needs to be digested and mulled over. It’s a read that devoured me and made me cry, made me angry and made me hopeful for better.

A BOOK THAT MADE ME FEEL NOSTALGIC:

If I’d had this book as a teenager, I would feel like I was heard and seen in the world. Honestly, reading this took me back to being a teenager and as an adult, that was a very strange but nostalgic and cathartic feeling. I am so grateful there are MCs like Emily in the world now.

A BOOK I HAVE A LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH:

I adored this book, but my god, I hated the ending. I know that the ending needed to be what it is to set up the rest of the series… but no thanks. I didn’t get behind it then and I’d not get behind it now, ha.

A BOOK THAT I HAVE RE-READ THE MOST:

God, ever time. Every single time there’s a question about rereading. I don’t really reread books for my own pleasure. I’d say I reread books again and again with my classes, but Matilda is probably personally my most reread book.

A BOOK THAT MADE ME WANT TO TRAVEL:

Is it cheating to choose a series? Cause the Adventures on Trains series makes me want to go on a train and just TRAVEL. Every single book I’m like “oh my gosh I’d love to go to [insert setting here]”. Such a great kids series!

A BOOK THAT GAVE ME ALL THE FEELS:

All of them. All of them ever. Honestly, I’ve been so committed to this blooming tag and I’ve done so well. However, thinking back to the books I read last year that made me FEEL all the FEELS, I can’t go past this. I was angry, happy, sad, betrayed… all of it. Cause obviously Mel made me feel all the feels.

A BOOK I WISH I HADN’T READ:

Not because I hated it but because I’d LOVE to experience this again.

Thank you so much for stopping by once again to ThursTAG. If you’d like to have a go at this, please do! Are you proud that I actually managed to commit to an answer for every question? (Cause that RARELY happens, ha)

If you have any recommendations for tags you’d like to see me do/tags you’ve done, I’d love to see them! See you all soon!
