Wednesday Wrap Up #2 – Young Adult!

Hello!

Over the next 3 Wednesdays, I’m going to wrap up my reading from last year:

  • Middle grade books – posted last Wednesday
  • Graphic novels – coming next Wednesday
  • YA books

I may share my favourite books; I may share the ones that surprised me; I may share my stats. I haven’t quite decided… but that’s OK because this is my blog!

Today, I’m here to wrap up the middle grade books I read last year.

Now, when I look at my Goodreads (cause yes that’s how I track my books), it is ABUNDANTLY clear that young adult books make up the minority of my reading.

Looking at my stats, I didn’t read as many YA books as I usually do! That’s not because I don’t still love YA books, cause trust me I do… I have so many amazing YA books on my TBR and I’m hoping that in 2023, I get to race through them!

While my list may only show 9, I need to tell you all that THE ENTIRETY of Holly Jackson’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series should be on this list!

These books brought me joy in so many ways – friendships, familiar characters, queer love stories, mysteries galore; favourite authors, new authors, books published before 2022.

***

I could ramble on about these books for hours, but I’ll just leave it there!

I’d love to know YOUR favourite books of 2022!
Have you read any of these?
Do you agree with my choices?

Are there any 2022 YA books you reckon I MUST read?

Talk to me in the comments – I’d love to know which 2022 books I missed out and need to add to my 2023 list!

I’m actually surprised that YA didn’t make up more of your reading. I know you read loads of MG but I didn’t realise it was that much more. I loved AGGGTM.
