Good morning!
A very exciting thing is happening this month: I am joining in a readathon! I don’t do these often because I’m not a massive fan of making a TBR (I’m much more of a mood reader), but one of my favourite bookish people, S, has created a Star Wars Readathon for people to join in with, and I couldn’t be more pleased to join in! If you’d like to read more about the Star Wars Readathon, you can check out S’s blog post over on his mum’s blog (Charlotte Somewhere). I’d love to know if you’re joining in!
Star Wars used to be something my brother would take me to the cinema to see, so I have very fond memories of going to see it!
For the readathon, you can choose to be one of 4 different characters, and there’s 2/3 prompts per character…
A Padwan (like Mace Windu)
- A book with a purple front cover
- A book set in a magical world
A Jedi Knight (like Luke Skywalker)
- A book with a blue front cover
- A book set in a magical world
- A book with siblings in it
A Jedi Master (like Yoda)
- A book with a green front cover
- A book set in a magical world
- A book with an old person in it
A Sith (like Darth Vader)
- A book with a red front cover
- A book set in a magical world
- A book with darkness in it
I have decided, because I am inately a GOOD GUY, that I would like to be a Jedi Knight (I wanted to be a Jedi Master, but I can’t for the life of me find a book with an old person in it!)
My TBR
A Jedi Knight (like Luke Skywalker)
- A book with a blue front cover – The Orphans of St. Halibuts came through my door recently and I can’t wait to dive into it… PLUS it’s got a blue cover (the actuall finished copy is ALSO blue too!)
- A book set in a magical world – I’ve been excited to read Gargantis for a while now (since reading Malamander!) and it’s very definitely a magical world (based on our world) so I can’t wait to see what happens in this book… I have heard BRILLIANT things!
- A book with siblings in it – I read Can You See Me last year and absolutely adored it. Yet again the sequel, Do You Know Me?, has just been sat on my pile, so this readathon is the PERFECT time to get it read! This book features Tally and her sister, so it fits perfectly for siblings!
And there we go! That’s my TBR for this readathon happening in June.
I’d love to know if you’re joining in and what your TBR is!
Speak to me in the comments!
