Good morning!
IT’s ThursTAG and I’m here with a tag I stole from my good friend, Charlotte (click here to see her answers!):
The Reader Problems book tag
I’d love to think that this is one I can at least attempt… read on to find out, ha!
***
1. You have 20,000 books in your TBR, how in the world do you decide what to read next?
Imagine having that many to read! I think that would overwhelm the hell out of me.
Being a mood reader, I would genuinely just look through them all, pick out any that I like the sound of and then whittle them down slowly. Probably I would go for something magical, probably a kids book… maybe something YA, probably something murder mystery, twisty and turny!
2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you put it down or are you committed?
Complete opposite to Charlotte, but I am a serial committer! It will take a LOT for me to give up on a book. If I’m hating it, I’ll give up on it, but if I’m just not enjoying it, I’ll try and find SOMETHING redeeming about it to make me keep reading.
3. The end of the year is coming and you’re behind on your reading challenge, do you try to catch up? And if so, how?
Yes, ha. Probably just read the life out of myself.
But also, no. It’s just a number and it’s a challenge I set for myself.
4. The covers of a series you love do not match, how do you cope?
OH LORDT. I would get over it, but it would annoy me forever and a day.
5. Everyone and their mother loves a book that you do not. Who do you bond with over your shared feelings?
Charlotte, ha. But healthy discussion about books is always welcome in my world.
6. You’re reading a book in public and you’re about to start crying. How do you deal?
I CRY. OK?
Fun tale: I cried so hard at a book on a train that the man beside me had to check I was OK. If you want to know the book it was, it was The Last Wild by Piers Torday. Piers is WELL AWARE of this story too, ha.
7. The sequel to a book you loved just came out but you’ve forgotten a lot of what happens. Are you going to reread it?
Meh. No. Not normally. I’ll either read my own reviews of the book/ask my friends/read my live DM-alongs with authors or just go ‘fuck it, I’ll remember eventually’ ha.
Let’s normalise “previously on” in books so you know what the hell is going on.
8. You do not want anyone to borrow your books, how do you politely say no when someone asks?
I’m not against people borrowing my books. If it doesn’t end up coming back, I’ll probably just buy myself another copy, ha.
9. You have picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over this reading slump?
Just pick up something else.
10. There are so many books coming out that you are dying to read, how many do you end up buying?
Probably all of them. I love books.
11. After you purchase all of these books that you’re dying to read how long do they sit on your shelves before you get to them?
HA. God. Honestly, it can be a minute; it could be a month.
I have a lot of emotions linked to books.

Thank you so much for stopping by once again to ThursTAG. If you’d like to have a go at this, please do!
If you have any recommendations for tags you’d like to see me do/tags you’ve done, I’d love to see them! See you all soon!

Also a serial committer, I’m not blown away by my current read but am persevering 😂
Also, I started using a book jar this year, game changer when it comes to deciding what to read!

It’s strange isn’t it how you buy books because you can’t wait to read them and then sometimes they just sit on the shelf for ages????????
