I’m really loving sharing whole series that I love with you guys and I’ve loved hearing all about the series that you love too.

Today, I’m sharing the Amelia Fang series by Laura Ellen Anderson. This is one of the most popular book series in our school library and I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to rebuy the books… they’re THAT popular!

Book 1: Amelia Fang and the Barbaric Ball

This was such good fun. I loved being part of this world and meeting all of the characters. I have to say, the characters in this are brilliant! It was such good fun getting to meet them all, and see what mischief they all get up to. This whole world just made me so happy and there’s loads of little bits that made me laugh. The illustrations are just gorgeous too!

Book 2: Amelia Fang and the Unicorn Lords

More delightful escapades from Amelia Fang and her friends! What do you do when your friend needs help? You help them! Even if it means crossing over to the scariest kingdom you know of… the Kingdom of Light! I really enjoy these books. They’re beautifully illustrated and really fun. I look forward to getting my hands on the 3rd one!

Book 3: Amelia Fang and the Memory Thief

This series continues to be filled with brilliantly fun stories that I could read forever and ever. In this adventure, Amelia Fang is faced with everyone losing their memories and a baddie who wants to undo a lot of her work. I love Amelia – she’s just such a brilliant main character and her friends bring me such joy too! I really enjoyed this – the writing and illustrations are just lush… and honestly, the more I read, the more I want to read!

Book 4: Amelia Fang and the Half Moon Holiday

Bloody loved this! The Amelia Fang series is such fun. She’s such a polite character and I love the humour in these books. I am a massive fan of Ricky and Graham the unicorns! Who doesn’t love a good story about friendship, holidays, being kind and having fun?

Book 5: Amelia Fang and the Lost Yeti Treasures

I love Amelia Fang stories and they just keep being wonderful! This one is full of lots of silly moments, some brilliant characters and a whole load of adventure. We might be 5 books in by now, but it’s honestly still so brilliant as the first book. This series continues to be full of fun and gorgeous illustrations!

Book 6: Amelia Fang and the Naughty Caticorns

This one continues the tradition of these books being great fun, and is jam-packed with a load of brilliant messages about Amelia becoming a big sister and everything that entails. The caticorns get up to some sheer nonsense and all Amelia wants to do is a good job looking after them. The illustrations, as always, are gorgeous!

Book 7: Amelia Fang and the Trouble with Toads

This was such a gorgeous ending to the series. All the gang together, banding together for Amelia. When Vincent goes missing, Amelia realised that it’s not that much of a pain having a brother. I loved this book loads. The illustrations and the story are so full of character, charm and wit. This series has been wonderful and I’m so sad it’s finished!

These books are perfect for developing readers in LKS2… but honestly, even my Y6s love Amelia Fang!
