Good morning!
Sorry for my missing ThursTAG last week. I’ve had a stinking cold for a while now and just didn’t have the energy to write!
I hope you enjoy today’s post all about apples (which I’ll be honest, I don’t eat a lot of… but I do like them when I remember I like them!)

GRANNY SMITH: AN OVERBEARINGLY SWEET WORK OR CHARACTER
Hmmm… I can’t think of a sweet character off the top of my head. I bet I know LOADS, ha!
FUJI: A WORK ABOUT A MOUNTAIN
The first thing that comes to my head is International Yeti Collective by Paul Mason!
RED DELICIOUS: A BOOK THAT WOULD BE PERFECT IF IT WAS ONLY JUDGED BY ITS COVER
Ha. I LOVE a cover. I am a proper cover magpie. If we’re going for a book whose cover doesn’t disappoint but the story might not be the best thing ever? I’ve gotta hand it to A Curse So Dark and Lonely, PURELY because I didn’t really like the ending (but once I read book 2 and 3, I got it!)
GOLDEN YELLOW: A BOOK WITH YELLOW ON THE COVER
The first yellow cover that comes to mind is Floored, by a magnificent 7 YA authors.
MCINTOSH: A WRITER THAT HAS INFLUENCED OR WOULD INFLUENCE YOUR WRITING
Mel Salisbury because I literally adore her. (SHOOK? I thought you would be!)
HONEYCRISP: A BOOK YOU HAVE READ THAT IS IN GREAT DEMAND
OOH. They Both Die at the End is ALL over BookTok (or was at the time of writing this). I read it a while ago and absolutely adored it.
BALDWIN: A WRITER YOU FEEL NEEDS RECOGNITION DUE TO STUNTED ACCLAIM (WHETHER IT WAS DUE TO SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED TO THEM OR A PREMATURE DEATH)
Hmmm… I don’t know. Someone who I don’t feel gets enough love? Ross Montgomery! (is neither dead not had something happen to them but his books need more love!)
EMPIRE: A WORK ABOUT OR SET IN NEW YORK
I’ve never had confirmation about this, but from the incredible artwork, I think the Journey series by Aaron Becker is set in NY.
GALA: A WORK THAT FITS UNDER MANY GENRES
Hmmm… this is a tricky one. Maybe The Exact Opposite of Okay? That fits into loads of categories!
AMBROSIA: A LONG WORK THAT WAS EASY TO FOLLOW
I’m not a big reader of long books if I’m being honest… anything over like 500 pages scares me!
JAZZ: A WORK WRITTEN IN OR AFTER 2010 THAT DEMONSTRATES FRESHNESS AND ORIGINALITY
The Ink series by Alice Broadway. It’s a series I utterly adore and I think more people need to read it. So clever; so brilliant; so gorgeous.
MUTSU: A BIG BOOK THAT YOU INDULGED
I don’t think I understand the prompt, ha!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE APPLE?
A granny smith!
Hilariously, I did a tasting lesson with my class recently and one of the things I got them to taste was a granny smith and some of the faces they pulled when trying the apple made me PROPER cackle.
APPLE TREE: WHO DO YOU TAG?
If you’re a fan of apples, go for it!

And there we go! If you’d like to have a go at this, please do!
