I saw this tag over on my friend Aoife’s channel (check the video out here) so I thought I’d have a go at it! It is ThursTAG after all!

1) The second-last book you read.

Witches of Brooklyn – a brilliant graphic novel about a young girl who moves in with her auntie: much magic and madness ensues!

2) The second book from the top of your TBR

Now, my TBR is split into 2 piles (YA and MG), so let’s have both! Second book from the top (they aren’t in any REAL order to be honest!) of YA? Afterlove by Tanya Byrne. Second book from top of MG? Love from Joy by Jenni Valentine.

3) Two 2-star reads.

I genuinely don’t know *looks at goodreads* I’ll go with 2 controversial ones – Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (I know, ew JKR): I think I hated how much INFORMATION was in that book; Freshers by Tom Ellen and Lucy Ivison: I just didn’t enjoy it y’know?

I will say here: I don’t tend to give out 2 stars very often. I can USUALLY find something redeemable about a book.

4) Two great books by the same author

I’m going to go Ross Montgomery (don’t tell him I like his books ok?) and say The Midnight Guardians and The Chime Seekers because I think they are incredible.

5) Two bails, or two books you’d wished you’d bailed on, or two books you hated.

I don’t really DNF books; like I said up there ^^ I can usually find something redeemable about a book.

6) Two favourite books this year

The only books I read more than once are books I read for school… so the book I’ve read the most? Journey by Aaron Becker – an incredible wordless picture book that I use every year.
