ThursTAG: The Netflix tag

Good morning everyone!

Today is Thursday and that means only one thing! It’s time for another tag! Today is the turn of The Netflix book tag. I love a bit of Netflick (points to you if you know who that comes from) so I thought this was the perfect tag to do!

Recently Watched

The last book you finished reading

The last book I finished was Agnes at the End of the World by Kelly McWilliams. It was end of the world cult goodness, would recommend if you like a cult book.

Top Picks

A book/books that have been recommended to you based on books you have previously read

Everyone told me to read Six of Crows because it gives off very me vibes and honestly, when I read it, I despaired that I’d waited so long to read it!

Recently Added

The last book you bought

The last book I physically bought from a shop was Afterlove by Tanya Byrne because I have been told it’ll break me, but that I will love it.

Popular on Netflix

Books that everyone knows about (2 you’ve read and 2 you have no interest in reading)

Two I’ve read? Six of Crows and Hunger Games. Two I’ve no interest in? Sarah J Maas books and anything else that lasts 100s of books!

Comedies

A funny book

Literally anything by Maz Evans (for kids books) or Laura Steven (for YA).

Dramas

A character who is a drama queen/king

All of them in their own right? Ha. I answered this question recently and wasn’t sure who… and I’m still not sure who!

Animated

A book with cartoons on the cover

This is a VERY GOOD QUESTION. Oh. Graphic novels. I have loads of them!

Watch It Again

A book/book series that you want to re-read

My darling Charlotte and I are rereading The Sin Eater’s Daughter trilogy by Melinda Salisbury which makes me very happy. Another series I’d love to forget and reread is Scythe (purely because book 1 is one of the best books I think I’ve ever read).

Documentaries

A non-fiction book you’d recommend to everyone

I think everyone needs to read Musical Truth: A Musical History of Modern Black Britain in 28 Songs by Jeffrey Boakye because it is EXCELLENT.

Action and Adventure

An action packed book

Oh now I do love an action packed book… the first that pops into my head is one that I finished recently, The Raven Heir by Stephanie Burgis – it’s an incredible kids book that I think is going to have a lot of love shown to it!

New Releases

A book that just came out or will be coming out soon that you can’t wait to read

I know I’ve mentioned her before, but I am very excited for Melinda Salisbury’s first foray into non fiction. She’s teaching us some witchy stuff in her new book, the Way Back Almanac (out this week).

And that’s it for now!

Thanks so much for popping by! Let me know if you’ve got any thoughts/comments about this!
