June in books

Good morning everyone!

Apologies for my quietness around here recently. We’ve reached the exhausted time of year and there’s still 2 weeks to go as I write this – I am just in a permanent state of exhausted and just existing is taking all of my energy (I wish that was an exaggeration, ha). I’ve got a few blog posts lined up for the next 2 weeks, and then once I’m rested, I’ll get back to properly posting again!

IN JUNE, I READ 13 BOOKS

I’m chuffed I managed to read so many to be honest!

WHAT DID I READ IN JUNE?

MIDDLE GRADE NOVELS?

I had the joy of reading some blooming brilliant MG novels in July from funny to magical to everything in between. There were authors I knew and loved and authors that were brand new to me! These books have ALL gone to school and have found some real love among the different classes in school!

GRAPHIC NOVELS?

My graphic novel purchasing has slowed down recently, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t love them as much as I have! My kids are loving this Terri Libenson series and are constantly asking me for more like them! I was over the moon when my copy of the second Cardboard Kingdom came – I utterly adored this as much as the first!

YOUNG ADULT?

Yes, I managed to read a YA book and let me tell you, I bloody adored it! Secrets and lies and stories connected through time… this was a gripping story!
