Good morning folks!
A DRAG RACE THEMED BOOK BLOG TAG? YES PLEASE SIR SIGN ME UP.
I found this on my brilliant friend Amy’s blog (you can check out her post here) and as soon as I saw it, I KNEW I had to do it. I am a MASSIVE MASSIVE fan of Drag Race (don’t talk to me about Drag Race Down Under… massive disappointment tbh), so YAY for a Drag Race tag. Will give this a twist and share my thoughts on some of the queens too!

Asttina Mandella — A Book Set in London
Oh lord. Don’t ask me. I don’t know. I don’t know where anything is set ever. I’m rubbish at remembering these kinds of things (especially the time of year a book is set… not the scoobiest of clues). Next, ha.
A’Whora — A Redemptive Character
Mab from Otherland by Louie Stowell. Without giving TOO MUCH away, Mab makes mistakes, but then makes up for them by the end.
Bimini Bon Boulash — A Book That Started Rocky
The Smoke Thieves by Sally Green is one of those books that I thought was really slow and inititally not a lot happened, but is one of those books that I enjoyed by the end! I still need to get around to reading the rest of the series!
(The true winner of season 2; let’s be honest!)
Cherry Valentine — A Book with a Red Cover
The most recent red cover? Kevin and the Biscuit Bandit
A red cover that springs to mind? Mistletoe and Murder
Ellie Diamond — A Book Published in 2021
LOL. So many. Do you want me to tell you my favourite? The one I read last? The one released most recently?
Ginny Lemon — A Book with a Shocking Plot Twist
I think the twists in Don’t Breathe A Word by Jordan Taylor are so brilliantly done!
Joe Black – A Misunderstood Character
Hmmm… I don’t know if I’m a fan of this kind of question!
(Not the biggest fan!)
Lawrence Chaney — A Book That Makes You Laugh
The last book that made me laugh? Bad Panda by Swapna Haddow!
The firs book that came to my mind? The Extremely Embarrassing Life of Lottie Brooks by Katie Kirby
(Loved Lawrence in the show! Always made me laugh!)
Sister Sister — A Book About Siblings
I love a book about siblings, especially if its a brother and sister (just because it reminds me of my brother… who lives 100s of miles away!). Destination Anywhere by Sara Barnard is the first one that came to mind because Peyton has quite a lovely relationship with her brother.
(Again, was never Sister Sister’s biggest fan, but she didn’t offend me)
Tayce — A Resilient Character
All of them. Any of them. Authors put their characters THROUGH THE RINGER for our enjoyment, ha.
(LOVED TAYCE. TAYCE 4 THE WIN FOR ME).
Tia Kofi — A Character You Rooted For
I’m one of these people who gets really invested in characters and their lives. I can’t not, so I will ROOT for all of the characters if they’re good guys!
Veronica Green — A Book That Disappointed You
Now this may be controversial, but I just didn’t GET Clockwork by Philip Pullman. Like, I appreciated that it was an interesting story and it’s very interlinked, but I just didn’t get it. Soz superfans.
(IF YOU ARE CALLING VERONICA A DISAPPOINTMENT I WILL BE CROSS)
