Good morning everyone!
I hope you are all well and good! I am here with another ThursTAG post for you all. I saw this post on my gorgeous pal Aoife’s blog and I thought, ‘ooh I don’t watch a lot of scary films, but I love the sound of these prompts so I’m going to steal it!’. You can read her post here!

The zombie apocalypse: a book you would save when civilisation ends?
Oh god, that’s HARD. I’d want something that was meaningful, but something that filled me with joy. A bit out of left field, but I think I’d keep Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig.
The vampire: a book you would stake through the heart?
OH LORD. Y’know for all I’ve not read it, I’d say Twilight or 50 Shades. Just cause y’know?!
The haunted house: a book that still haunts you?
HERE. MELINDA SALISBURY. YOUR BOOKS. There’s a particular scene in Song of Sorrow with Vespus that haunts me… and the end of Hold Back the Tide.
The psychological thriller: a book with a twist you did not see coming?
See the answer above… but also, Harley in the Sky by Akemi Dawn Bowman. The twist happens quite early in the story and it’s more the actions of a character, but I was FLOORED and ANGRY.
The creepy doll: a book that seems innocent but isn’t?
Now creepy is not something I’m good at… that’s the kind of scary that freaks me out most. I can do gore, but creepy, no thank you kind sir. When I read the blurb of The Ash House, I wasn’t expecting it to be as creepy as it was!
The monster: a book you could barely tackle/defeat?
Any book that has ALL OF THE HYPE? Any book that’s more than like 500 pages? HA.
The comedy-horror: a book with mixed genres that worked (or didn’t)?
I’m not very good at this game. I can’t think of one off the top of my head.
The (cliched) teen horror: a book you found super cliched/stereotypical?
The Potion Diaries by Amy Alward. Y’know what? It’s not a bad book, but I wasn’t a big fan.
The demonic possession: a book so gripping you needed an exorcist to escape it?
Scythe by Neal Shusterman. God that series! I need you ALL TO READ.
The science fiction: a precious book you would permanently sacrifice to aliens for the good of mankind?
Oh god. NO I CAN’T. Sorry try again later.

And that’s it! I found that harder, but just as enjoyable, than I thought it would be!
Can you help me with any of my prompts?
Do you like a scary book?
What book would YOU sacrifice to the aliens?

Is the Vespus scene the vines one by any chance? BECAUSE SAME
