Creed 3

God, I love Michael B Jordan. We’d been watching all of these in the run up to Creed 3 coming out, so I was WHOLEHEARTEDLY invested in this series! Watching it and seeing Creed signing in this and being the big frog absolutely made my heart melt. The boxing is my least favourite part of these films (I know, I know, they’re boxing films… but I’m here for all the rest of it than the boxing, ha). This film felt really stylish and beautifully shot… I wanna go back and watch it again so I can see Hench Creed. 

What’s Love Got To Do With It?

OH THIS WAS LUSH. Like, happiness and colour and joy and love. It was a lovely, predictable comfort film. It was so lovely to watch a film about marriage traditions outside of my own experience – so much so I’d love to go off and learn more about Muslim weddings and the signs and symbols behind them. Kaz was very pleasing on the eyes too. 

Women Talking

This was depressing as anything. I also feel like the trailer catfished me: I was expecting a movie that was silent (with the title being more like ‘ooh women don’t need to do the talking with their voices, they make stuff happen without their words’) and then it quite literally wasn’t. But I guess that’s why I shouldn’t take trailers to heart. I did enjoy this… it was just dour.
