Film Friday #14

Today, I’m reviewing a few films we’ve watched recently that my fiancee loves that have made me proper smile!

I hope you enjoy my reviews! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Glass Onion

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS CLEVER, STUPID, GORGEOUS FILM. Benoit is the main man and I need a million more films with him in. This made me laugh, it make me shocked, it made me mad… I just adored it! The island, the amazing house, the gorgeous costumes, the brilliantly woven story and the excellent cast of actors made this so worth the wait (Rach had already seen it in the cinema!). It’s one of those series that I think could be reimagined a million different ways and it still wouldn’t lose its appeal.

I Wanna Dance With Somebody

I absolutely adored this. I cried from pretty much the get go at just her singing in the church choir. Having recently watched a documentary about Whitney’s life, I was excited to see how it was going to pan out on film. I thought the acting was incredible and I loved seeing her portrayal of Whitney. Would totally recommend this – not quite on the scale of the exuberance of Elvis, Rocketman or Bohemian Rhapsody, but a proper good biographical film.

Avatar 2

Gosh. After only recently seeing Avatar, I was excited to see this. EVERYONE had told me that Avatar was amazing… and I did enjoy it. I had high hopes for film 2, and I wasn’t disappointed! I will say though… this film is so long (which I’m sure some people won’t complain about, ha). In my opinion, I reckon you could get rid of like 30 minutes of the film, and it not lose any of the story or any of the punches that you get throughout. I did think this was great though! Gorgeous shots, plenty to look at and interesting storylines! We watched this in our secret seats in one of the screens in our Cineworld and it made me so happy!

If you’ve got any film recommendations for me, that you’d like my thoughts on, let me know!

Have you seen any of these?
Are you a big film buff?
