FreiTAG: The currently reading blog tag

Good morning everyone!

I know it’s not technically ThursTAG today, but I thought I’d just do it on FreiTAG instead! I saw this over on Charlotte’s blog (her post can be found here) and thought it would be a good quick one to have a go at!

How many books do you usually read at once?

I CAN read more than one book at a time, but I tend to only read one.

Now, this isn’t TECHNICALLY true. I’m usually reading one book for me (as in a book I want to read), a book to my class (be that in Guided Reading/end of the day) and theen a book for CPD (a book I am reading to keep learning)…

Do you ever switch bookmarks while you’re part way through a book?

Bookmark? What’s one of those?

I’m a ‘page rememberer’. I’ll just remember the page number/chapter number.

Where do you keep the book(s) you are currently reading?

Book that I’m reading for me? In my handbag/by my bed.
Book that I’m reading with my kids? On the edge of my desk.
Book that I’m reading for CPD? In my ‘teacher bag’ normally.

What time of day do you spend the most time reading?

On a morning or in the afternoon. Saturday and Sunday mornings are my favourite times to read.

How long do you typically read in one sitting?

It depends on the rest of the world around me. If I had my own way? I’d read until I finished a book/until I wanted to stop.

Do you read hardbacks with the dust jacker on or off?

On. It makes me sad to read a hardback without its dust jacket. However, if it starts to get in my way, I’ll take it off.

What position do you mainly read?

Laid down? I alternate between on my stomach and on my back!

What are your reading habits?
Do you use a bookmark?
Do you read more than one book at a time?

Let me know in the comments. I’d love to know your thoughts!
