Good morning pirates!
I hope you are all well!
Today’s #SixforSunday is one that honestly, I come up with the prompts and it’s one that I thought ‘HOW DO I NARROW THAT DOWN?’, ha! Like, who do I think I am?! I’m not sure where I get these ideas from… but here goes, ha!
Today for #SixforSunday, we’re thinking
Characters who would make great ship’s captains
What exactly do I know about being a ship’s captain? Nothing, just what I’ve read haha! Who do I think would make a good ship’s captain?
- Leonard from My Life as a Cat by Carlie Sorosiak
I think he’d be up for all kinds of adventures and he’d keep everyone smiling. He’s a lovely character! I think he’d need to have Olive with him too though!
- Cordelia from The Hatmakers by Tamzin Merchant
I mean… I think she’s going to end up on a boat in book 2, so I’m HOPING I’m not far off here. She’s fiesty, brave and her dad was a ship’s captain, so it’s in her blood right?
- Ellie from Orphans of the Tide by Struan Murray
I just think Ellie is a wonderful main character and she’s properly not afraid of anything!
- All of the kids from Dragon Mountain by Katie and Kevin Tsang
I think as a quad all 4 kids together would make a brilliant ship’s captain team! They balance each other out so well!
- Nine from The House at the Edge of Magic by Amy Sparkes
She goes after what she wants and she’s full of adventure, so I think she’d be perfect!
- Flick from The Strangeworlds Travel Agency by LD Lapinski
I mean, Flick is one of my favourite kids’ characters of recent times and she’s been all over the shop (including a ship in book 2) so she’d be pretty good!
I love how all of my characters are from kids books AND they’re mostly girls too! YAY for brilliant female characters in kids books!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
