Good afternoon everyone,
A few weeks ago, I posted on Twitter about this resource and a few people were interested, so I thought I’d share!
There’s loads of examples of editing pencils out there, but there wasn’t quite exactly what I wanted, so I decided to have a play around and have a go at making my own. There’s 3 different pencils, roughly based on children working at WTS (yellow), EXS (green), GDS (purple). The colours only really correspond to my own colour settings in my brain haha. The statements are based on the fact I’m a Year 6 teacher and the different things I expect when writing.
My idea for these is to give each child one with their name on (the line at the top) and then that stays on their des with them throughout the day. I’m hoping it can serve as a reminders for them whenever they are writing. They’ll come in handy for writing across the curriculum too!

I’m unable to upload the editable version to here, but if you email me (alittlebutalot@gmail.com), I’ll be more than happy to send you the publisher file!
I hope this is of use to someone!
As always, I’d love to know if this is any use to you! I’d love to see how you use them/how your kids get on using them! If you do share them on social media, a little credit (either of my blog, my twitter @eenalol or my instagram @thisgeordieteaches) goes a long long way! Please spread the love and share this as far and as wide as you wish!

Thanks for sharing these Steph. I’m going to try using them with my class and will let you know how they get on.
