ThursTAG: The Summer Book tag

Good morning everyone!

It’s Thursday yet again… I think this is EXACTLY half way through the Summer holidays! These weeks have been ticking on quite nicely to be honest! To celebrate the Summer holidays, and the Summer in general, I have brought out a ‘Summer Book Tag’ from my vat of tags and questions. If I stole this from you, let me know and I’ll acknowledge you!

LEMONADE: PICK A BOOK THAT STARTED OFF BITTER BUT THEN GOT BETTER

Harley in the Sky by Akemi Dawn Bowman

Ooh. A book that took a second for me to get into? I found the beginning of Harley in the Sky a bit slow… however, once I was into it, I WAS INTO IT. Wholly into it.

GOLDEN SUN: PICK A BOOK THAT MADE YOU SMILE BEYOND COMPARE

Unconventional: Amazon.co.uk: Maggie Harcourt: 9781409590156: Books

Oh I LOVE A BOOK THAT MAKES ME SMILE. I always end up using Maggie Harcourt‘s books for these prompts because her books are just DELIGHTFUL. They always make me smile a lot!

TROPICAL FLOWERS: PICK A BOOK SET IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY

Destination Anywhere by Sara Barnard

Most of them? Because I read an awful lot of fantasy, but Destination Anywhere by Sara Barnard was the first book that came to mind. It made me want to go to Canada and then go on a road trip with a bunch of strangers a LOT.

TREE SHADE: PICK A BOOK WHERE A MYSTERIOUS OR SHADY CHARACTER IS INTRODUCED

State of Sorrow: Amazon.co.uk: Melinda Salisbury: Books

Lol. Most books have a shady character. Although… you don’t get shadier than Vespus Corrigan. He’s a TERRIBLE MAN. A terrible terrible man and deserves only bad things. He also has a terrible wife too.

BEACH SAND: PICK A BOOK THAT WAS GRAINY AND THE PLOT BARELY DEVELOPED

I genuinely can not think of one… maybe I just pick my books well? Ha!

GREEN GRASS: PICK A CHARACTER(S) THAT WAS FULL OF LIFE, MAKING YOU SMILE

The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven | Waterstones

OH GOD THE TEMPTATION TO DO ANOTHER SORROW is so read because Luvian, but I won’t.

Bloody Izzy O’Neill. I love her. If you guys don’t know Izzy O’Neill, please get yourself acquainted with her.

WATERMELON: PICK A BOOK THAT HAD SOME JUICY SECRETS

Five Little Liars

LOVE READING A SECRET. LOVE A LIE. LOVE DECEPTION. I read Five Little Liars recently and it’s FULL of lies and secrets. Properly would recommend.

SUN HAT: PICK A BOOK WITH A VAST, BIG UNIVERSE/SETTING

The Strangeworlds Travel Agency: Book 1: Amazon.co.uk: Lapinski ...

I don’t think you can get bigger than a universe that has infinite possibilities all hidden in suitcases? Bloody get on this because it is WONDEROUS ON SO MANY LEVELS.

BBQ: PICK A BOOK IN WHICH A CHARACTER WAS PORTRAYED AS A HUNK

A Curse So Dark and Lonely (The Cursebreaker Series): Amazon.co.uk ...

Ooooh. I can not think of one off the top of my head. I don’t tend to be into the “hunks” of YA to be honest. At least not the muscular, traditionally handsome kinda hunks. I guess you could count Grey from the Cursebreakers books?

SUMMER FUN: PASS THE TAG ON

I’m not going to tell anyone to do this, but if you want to, please go for it! I quite enjoyed this!

***

Let me know in the comments your thoughts! I’d love to talk bookish hunks, books with secrets and a book you think didn’t do much (because even now I can’t think of one!)

See you tomorrow!
