S4S – TBR FOREVER

Good morning!

It is our first #SixforSunday of April. How mad! I hope everyone is staying safe!

Now that we are in April, we are taking on our TBR and looking closely at it! The prompts for April are:

April: Taking on the TBR pile

5th: Book that have been on your TBR forever
12th: Recent additions to your TBR
19th: Books from your TBR that you predict will be 5*
26th: Books on your TBR because of someone else’s recommendation

Today’s prompt, as you can see above is,

Books that have been on your TBR forever

I’m not gonna lie, there are some books which have been on my TBR forever and might stay there forever. I’m very much a mood reader, so unless I’m in the mood to read a book, it’s not going anywhere! So which books have been on my TBR forever?

  1. The Hate U Give – Angie Thomas
I know. I know. You knew this was coming. At least pretend to be shocked, will you?
  2. On The Come Up – Angie Thomas
Again. You knew this was coming. Don’t judge me.
  3. A Darker Shade of Magic series – V.E.Schwab
I own these books. I’ve been saying they’re on my TBR for a year now I reckon. I’ll get to them eventually.
  4. The Grisha trilogy – Leigh Bardugo
I was super late to the Six of Crows party, but when I bought these I was all for reading them… and then I just never did. I will eventually.
  5. Station Eleven – Emily St. John Mandel
I added this to my Goodreads TBR almost 5 years ago now. I own it. I’ll get round to reading it eventually, I’m sure.
  6. The Dark Wild – Piers Torday
I read the first book in this series on the train home from YALC 3 years ago (I think) and it broke me. I don’t think I’ll ever be ready for more haha!

And that’s it… I do of course have loads of other books on my TBR, but these are the first 6 which came to my mind!

Remember to share your #SixforSunday posts with me! I love reading your posts! I can’t wait to shout at you all for not reading books I loved (ha!)

See you next week!

Yes! I totally feel you on The Grisha Trilogy and A Darker Shade of Magic! I actually read the first book in both these series, but I never read the rest of them😬
