THURSTAG: The Spring Cleaning Blog Tag

Good morning everyone!

Spring has sprung (has it officially? I do not know!) and it’s time for a spring clean!

I stole this tag, shamelessly from my wonderful pal Charlotte (you can check her post out here). I’ve ACTUALLY done a tag with the same name, but this one has different questions AND WE ALL KNOW I LOVE A TAG!!

***

It’s time to make your bed, but you’re going to have some friends over later and want to pick the perfect book to place on your nightstand for them all to see that you’re “reading”. Which book do you choose?

Can I just have a pile of books that I want my friends to see and to lust after? Because that sounds much better. I’d go for all shiny books because let’s be honest, we’re all attracted to shiny books/shiny spines haha.

Oh no! The house needs dusting, but you just can’t put that book you’re reading down! What book would you buy on audio just so you could continue the story while cleaning?

Oooh, now I’m not a massive audio reader to be honest. I get so much joy from reading books myself. Recommend me some good audiobooks!

Darn it! The ceiling is leaking! Turns out Mass-Market Paperbacks are the best things to soak water up! Which popular book do you use to soak up the water?

Probably my Harry Potters. They are just sitting in a drawer, and we all know that JK isn’t the best of people, so I’d give them up before anything else.

Bathrooms need a good scrubbing, and your 2007 Cosmos are a little outdated and need replacing. What book do you place in the bathroom for some light reading for when people need to take care of business?

I do not. Books deserve respect, not bathroom business haha.

Family is coming over, but you have no idea what to make for dinner! You read somewhere that tearing up the last chapter of a book whose ending you hated and sprinkling it in a casserole dish makes for the perfect meal! Which book do you choose?

OOOH. An ending I didn’t approve of? The end of A Curse So Dark and Lonely. I remember reading that and thinking ABSOLUTELY NOT at the end of that because I just didn’t believe it. Having read the rest of the series now, I can kind of see it… but no.

Organization is key, right? When it comes time to organize your bookshelf, you realize you have enough room (and money) to get three new books! Which books do you buy?

MORE BOOKS? YESSSSSSSSSSSSS. What would I buy? Oh gosh. I do not know. There’s a few graphic novels I want to get my hands on!

Finally, some peace and quiet! But, before you can relax, you realize you forgot to send your Aunt a thank you gift for the lovely “ADULT LIFE FOR DUMMIES” book she gave you for Christmas (maybe she’s trying to tell you something?). What book do you send to her to show her how much (this is sarcasm) you appreciate her gift?

I don’t QUITE understand the question, haha. I’d probably send them back something equally shady like “Decent Present Buying for Dummies” (I don’t think this is a real book, haha.

A massive thank you for stopping by my blog today! I’d love to know your answers to these questions – I think there’s always room in the world for more recommendations.

I didn’t read them until I was an adult (I don’t know how I missed them as a child) and now that I know that JK is problematic, I have no problems with using them for something other than reading, ha.
